Ps 119:100 Understanding from Obedience

We must be cautious in thinking that understanding comes from knowledge and not obedience. While knowledge does have a part to play in understanding it is not the whole

We can become lost in our understanding of God because of small self justified disobediences that creep into our lives

For a Believer to grow in their understanding of God they need to grow in their obedience. It is why as those who lead others must teach what Jesus commanded us to teach, obedience.

Ps 119:71 – Affliction makes us Bitter or Better

It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.

We have a choice of how we respond to the difficulties of this life.

Use hard times to examine yourself in the Lord and ask the hard questions of obedience to His commands..

Don’t use hard times as an excuse for disobedience, which is easy to do. We do tend to let ourselves off the hook in our commitments and obedience to the Lord when we are in troubled times.
